Welcome to ForgeCast
Everything you need to stream with ForgeCast, make your own overlays, and build on top of it.
ForgeCast is a lightweight Windows app that gives YouTube streamers overlays, alerts, chat actions and sound effects for OBS. Pick where you'd like to start:

The desktop app is still being built, and pages say so wherever something is planned rather than available. Connecting YouTube and OBS, plugins and the developer API work today.
How the pieces fit together
| Piece | What it is | Where you use it |
|---|---|---|
| ForgeCast account | Your identity, plan and overlay inventory, created when you first sign in with Google or Discord. | This website and the desktop app |
| Editor | Design and animate your own overlays and widgets in the browser (Pro and Ultimate). | My overlays |
| Desktop app | Runs on your streaming PC and talks to YouTube and OBS. | Windows |
| YouTube connection | Tells ForgeCast which channel to follow, so the app can read your live chat, Super Chats and memberships. | Started in the app, confirmed on this website |
| Plugins | Small Lua programs that add to the app. | The desktop app, and the plugin SDK |
| OBS | Shows your overlays through browser sources. | OBS Studio 28 or later |
| Developer API | Lets your own tools read and manage your inventory. | /api/v1 |
Signing in to the website with Google and connecting YouTube are two separate things: the first proves who you are, the second tells ForgeCast which channel to follow. They can be the same Google account, but they're independent. See Connect your YouTube channel.
