Account & plans

Signing in with Google or Discord, and what the Free, Pro and Ultimate plans include.

Signing in

ForgeCast has no passwords. You sign in with Google or Discord and ForgeCast creates your account the first time.

Go to Sign in.

Choose Continue with Google or Continue with Discord and approve the request on that service's page.

You land on your account page, where you can see your plan, your overlays, your connected apps and your API keys.

What we receive: your name, email address and profile picture. What we don't receive: your password, and we can't post or read anything on your behalf. We also don't keep the access tokens Google or Discord issue, only who you are.

One sign-in method per email

If you first signed up with Google and later try Discord using the same email address, ForgeCast will refuse and ask you to use the original provider. This is deliberate: automatically merging accounts by email would let anyone who controls an unverified address on one service take over the account of someone on another. Just sign in with the provider you used the first time.

Free means predefined overlays only

On the Free plan you can add and use the predefined overlays that ship with ForgeCast, but you can't create or edit your own. Upgrading to Pro or Ultimate unlocks the Editor and lets you copy any predefined overlay into your own editable version.

Paying for a plan

Choose Get Pro or Get Ultimate on the pricing page or under Plan & usage, and pay in Razorpay's secure checkout. Prices are in Indian rupees in India (₹199 and ₹399 a month) and in US dollars everywhere else ($5 and $10). The plan starts the moment the payment goes through and renews every month until you cancel; Razorpay emails you a receipt each month.

  • Upgrading from Pro to Ultimate starts Ultimate at once (a new monthly period) and ends the Pro subscription.
  • Switching down from Ultimate to Pro happens when the month you paid for ends.
  • Cancelling (Plan & usage → Cancel plan) stops the next renewal; you keep the plan until the end of the month you paid for, then move to Free. See the Cancellation Policy.
  • If a renewal fails, Razorpay tries again over a few days and you keep your plan meanwhile; Plan & usage shows a link to pay or change the card.
  • Your first payment for a plan can be refunded within 7 days: see the Refund Policy.

The ForgeCast team can also give a plan directly, for a number of days or months, or with no end date. Your current plan is always shown on your account page.

If your plan changes

Your overlays are never deleted when a plan ends or you downgrade:

  • Overlays you created stay in your inventory but become locked — you can still see them and delete them, but you can't open, edit or use them until you're back on Pro or Ultimate.
  • Predefined overlays that need a higher plan are locked the same way.
  • Nothing is lost; upgrading again unlocks everything instantly.

Your inventory

Your inventory is the list of overlays you can open in the ForgeCast app. It contains:

  • Predefined overlays you've added from the catalog (available on every plan, subject to each overlay's required plan), and
  • Your own overlays (Pro and Ultimate), including any you made by forking a predefined overlay.

Each plan has an inventory limit (see the table). Deleting an item frees a slot. Deleting one of your own overlays deletes it permanently.

Team seats (Ultimate)

With Ultimate, up to 2 people can edit your overlays with you, each with their own ForgeCast account (any plan).

  1. Go to Account → Team, type their email address and press Invite.
  2. ForgeCast doesn't send email: copy the link it shows and send it to them yourself. It works once, for 7 days, and only for an account with that email address.
  3. They open the link signed in and press Join. Your overlays and widgets then appear under Shared with you on their My overlays page.

Editors can open and change your overlays and widgets in the Editor and add pictures to your library; their changes save to your account and reach your ForgeCast app like your own. They can't delete overlays or pictures, publish, or see your plan, payments or settings. Remove someone (or cancel an invitation) in Account → Team; they can leave from the same page. If your Ultimate plan ends, the team is paused until you have it again; nobody is removed.

Connected apps and devices

Every computer where you signed in to the ForgeCast desktop app appears under Connected desktop apps on your account page. You can sign any device out remotely with one click — see Connect the desktop app.

Deleting your account

At the bottom of your account page, Delete account permanently removes your account, your own overlays, your inventory, your API keys and your connected devices. You'll be asked to type DELETE to confirm. This cannot be undone.
