01What these terms cover
These terms add to our Terms of Service when you build on ForgeCast: when you use the developer API (at api.forgecast.in) with your own keys, register an app that uses Connect with ForgeCast, publish a plugin, or sell a plugin in the marketplace. Where they say more than the Terms of Service, these terms apply.
02Keys, apps and limits
Keep API keys and client secrets secret, and don't share them in code people can read (a public repository, a web page, the plugin itself). If one leaks, revoke it or make a new secret at once.
Stay within the rate limits of the plan and the documented ways of using the API. Don't try to get around limits, plan rules or permissions (for example by spreading requests over many accounts), and don't test the security of ForgeCast without asking us first at support@forgecast.in.
03Apps that act for streamers
When a streamer connects your app, you may use what they allowed only to provide the features you described to them, and only for as long as they stay connected.
- Tell people clearly who you are, what your app does and what it does with their data, in a privacy policy linked from your app's homepage.
- Ask only for the scopes your app needs.
- Keep their data secure, don't sell it, and delete it when they disconnect your app or ask you to (within 30 days).
- Don't post in their chat, change their overlays or spend anything on their account without them knowing and wanting it.
04Our name
You may say your app or plugin "works with ForgeCast" and use the "Connect with ForgeCast" wording for the sign-in button. Don't use "ForgeCast" in your app's or plugin's name, don't use our logo as yours, and don't suggest that we made, checked or endorse your work unless we marked it verified.
05Charging for your work
You may charge for your app, your service or your plugins. You may not sell or give away access to ForgeCast itself, its plans, its marketplace items or their artwork, or let people use one account's keys as their own.
06Selling plugins
Anyone can set a price on a plugin they publish. A paid plugin goes on sale once we've reviewed it; we can turn a price off, or take a plugin down, if it breaks these terms.
- Your share: you get 70% of what the buyer paid for each sale. We keep 30%, which covers payment fees, refunds and running the marketplace.
- Prices are picked from our price list, and buyers see them in rupees in India and in US dollars elsewhere.
- Refunds: a buyer can get a refund within 7 days of buying if the plugin doesn't work as described; your share of a refunded sale is taken back.
- Payouts are made once a month, by UPI or bank transfer to the details you give, when your balance is at least ₹500 or $10. Smaller balances roll over to the next month.
- Taxes: you are responsible for the taxes on what you earn. We may ask for tax details (such as your PAN) before paying you.
- Buyers keep what they paid for: a buyer can keep installing and updating a plugin they bought, even if you change its price later.
07What plugins may do
A plugin must do what its page says, ask only for the permissions it needs, and work without hidden network calls or data collection. No malware, no tracking people across the internet, no spamming chat, and nothing that breaks YouTube's rules or the law.
08Suspension and changes
We can limit or turn off keys, apps or plugins that break these terms or put streamers at risk, and we'll tell you why when we can. Earnings from sales that were fraudulent or refunded aren't paid out; the rest of what you earned is still paid.
We may change the API and these terms with reasonable notice. If you keep building on ForgeCast after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.
